ENVIRONMENT
A stone platform at an ancient post station on the edge of a high mountain canyon. On the opposite side of the canyon, a dead tree extends from the edge of a cliff. Rolling clouds cover the depths of the canyon. A crosswind blows from left to right, causing the hem of the character’s clothing, the goshawk’s feathers, and the short stem beneath the apple to sway in the wind.

SHOT 1
Low-angle close shot, 28mm.
The camera moves to the right along the surface of the stone platform. The goshawk flies close to the stone platform from the left side of the frame and grabs the red apple from the edge of the wooden table with its right talon. Its spread wings lift the corner of the cloth on the table and a small amount of dust, then the goshawk flies over the canyon.
Sound effects: the goshawk’s wingbeats, its talons scraping across the wooden table, canyon wind.
SHOT 2
Medium close shot, 40mm.
The view shifts from the goshawk to the master archer. The master archer immediately turns around and takes two steps forward, raises the longbow with his left hand, and pulls a red-feathered arrow from the quiver on his back with his right hand. The hem of his clothing is blown behind him by the wind. He looks toward the sky above the canyon, and his gaze continuously follows the apple swinging beneath the goshawk’s talon.
Sound effects: footsteps, the sound of pulling out the arrow, fabric moving in the wind.
SHOT 3
Wide side view of the canyon, 24mm.
The camera follows the goshawk from the side as it flies. The goshawk spreads its wings and flies through the canyon, its body tilting slightly in the crosswind. The red apple hangs beneath its body and swings forward and backward as it flies.
In the distance, the master archer walks to the edge of the stone platform, places his front foot near the cliff edge of the platform, and then stands firmly.
Sound effects: canyon wind, the goshawk’s wingbeats.
SHOT 4
Medium close shot from the front side, 50mm.
The master archer places the red-feathered arrow on the bowstring, extends his left arm straight forward, and pulls the bowstring behind his ear with his right hand. His waist and back remain steady, and the bow moves slightly with the goshawk’s position in the air.
The goshawk continues flying forward. The apple swings beneath its talon and gradually moves into the open space below the talon and wings.
Sound effects: the bow bending under tension, breathing, wind.
SHOT 5
Side close shot, 135mm telephoto.
When the apple swings directly beneath the goshawk’s body, the master archer releases the bowstring. The red-feathered arrow flies across the canyon, passes beneath the goshawk’s spread wings, and pierces through the center of the red apple.
The apple leaves the goshawk’s talon and continues flying forward with the arrow. The goshawk is not injured and continues flapping away in its original direction.
Sound effects: the bowstring snapping, the arrow cutting through the air, the dull sound of the apple being pierced.
SHOT 6
135mm telephoto following the arrow, then switching to a wide view of the canyon.
The red-feathered arrow carries the whole apple toward the opposite side and embeds itself in the main trunk of the dead tree. The end of the arrow continues vibrating in front of the tree trunk, with the apple fixed on the arrow shaft.
The goshawk safely passes above the dead tree and continues flying into the distance. The view returns to a wide shot of the canyon. The master archer stands at the edge of the stone platform and calmly lowers the longbow, while the hem of his clothing spreads in the crosswind.
The master archer is on the nearby stone platform, the apple on the dead tree across the canyon is clearly visible, and the goshawk appears farther away in the sky.
Sound effects: the arrowhead embedding into the tree trunk, the end of the arrow vibrating, the goshawk calling, one deep drumbeat.
